The term “Goddess” is thrown around entirely too much these days.
Model Dallas certainly comes close to illustrating the great blonde American goddess. She’s from “dream girl” territory.
I’ve photographed Dallas multiple times since first meeting her four or five years ago and watched her blossom into an experienced model. She signed with my friend Chuck at Red Models Birmingham, which is where she can be hired for assignments.
She’s certainly an extraordinary beauty. She’s also, I’m discovering, a very good photographer herself. She definitely has “the eye.”
So why am I dusting off these photos of her? Quite simply, today marks the first day of autumn and the end of summer.
Perhaps it is because our first photoshoot was a swimwear session at my swimming pool, but beautiful Dallas is the quintessential blonde girl of summer.
It makes me sad knowing the days of beautiful women lounging poolside in swimwear are more than likely done.
I had hoped to squeeze in one or two more swimwear and fitness shoots before the onset of chilly weather, but I got a rude awakening this past weekend when it was too chilly to be outside without shorts… much less ask someone to pose for me in a bikini.
I have struggled to set up shoots this year, mostly because of a killer virus. I did squeeze in four or five good quality sessions over the summer by virtue of social distancing. Never has my telephoto lense been so essential!
I really hoped to get in another shoot with the beautiful Dallas, but I guess it was not to be. I’d be tickled if we actually connected as we had discussed in the spring before the whole world fell into a pandemic.
Photos help those of us who appreciate beautiful women but hate cold weather to enjoy something we don’t get year-round. Perhaps I am fated to move to the Florida keys and spend all of my days creating calendar and website images. That’d be fine by me.
